Jocelyn Nicole Limmer (www.jocelynlimmerart.com) is a self-taught abstract artist that grew up in the Pacific Northwest where there is limitless inspiration for her work. She uses natures colors, shapes and lines as a platform for her paintings. Jocelyn now resides in Kingston Springs, TN which has morphed her work into what it is today. By taking lines out of Tennessee nature she moves your eye around the canvas in a majestic way. Her desire is to take the viewer on a journey through the depths and layers of her paintings. As the artist explains “Telling a story through painting has always been a passion of mine. I love that abstract art can be whatever you want it to be, and is always different to each individual.”
Jocelyn went to the International Academy of Design and Technology where she found her love of art and design. Excelling in color theory, she pursues color in her work with fervor. Jocelyn’s paintings are currently on display at Alfred Williams and Company in Nashville Tennessee. Her art has been a part of Renasant banks art exhibition (February 2017), and Germantown art crawl (May 2017). She has also created commissioned works of art.
Limmer’s unique use of positive and negative space gives you an adventurous feeling. Her techniques and tools used on raw canvas are unlike any other. She thrives on exploring new ways to apply paint to her pieces. With each work of art, you get balance and depth that leave you wanting more.
